Apparently, in honor of some commercially constructed event, albeit one that raises money for children or something, today is National Pancake Day: IHOP gives away a free short stack. Although I prefer pancakes of the fluffy and homemade variety, where I can eat multiple short stacks in the privacy of my dining area, away from the screeching and squawking of feral children, which slow, lumbering Americans continue to breed, I am all for some cheap as free fun. Now, I just need to plow through the remainder of work tedium, before delving into some buttered and syrupy goodness.
