Ahead of the Bell Curve

Banana Republic just, very impertinently, interrupted my productive and steady work flow with an email detailing specific deals on party outfits for the various impending winter solstice festivities. Conveniently, looks are already orchestrated and organized into categories: cocktail, office, home, and black tie parties. Immediately, my eye was drawn to this full length silk taffeta skirt, ready for a whirl and twirl at 150$. Luckily, last season, I had the immaculate foresight to purchase an almost identical, though admittedly subtly and mildly black with black sheen checker patterned, for a mere 8$ from a favorite local consignment shop. Since an invitation to any black tie event is unlikely this season, perhaps I shall host one.
