Impulse Purchase: Chocolate Covered Pretzels

On Sunday later in the evening, deliriously weary from cross-country travel, which in a span of twenty-four hours included plane, train, and automobile, I crawled to the grocery store to stock up on some of the essentials I would need for the coming days, namely some bananas and cream for my morning coffee. First, upon spying this basket of chocolate and salted glory from across the aisle, I feared a mirage, my drooping retina and numbed neurons playing cruel tricks. Crossing the tiled terrain, I see I am delightfully mistaken: this carton of goodness is true. Feverishly, I add the pretzels to my selection of cheeses and fruit. Now, after a long day and a long night of cold rain ahead, I almost regret this purchase, but cannot quell my guilt long enough to stop devouring.
